Merry Christmas
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a safe happy New Year.
We had a special Santa photo this year he he. My eldest brother Alan was the Santa!!
This year unfortunately I simply ran out of time to create Christmas cards, sorry everyone. I'll make a start now for next year!!
My family and I will be visiting my Dad and brother in Glen Innes NSW over the Christmas break. I will be back in blogging land soon.
Take care and travel safely.

Cards to share
Hi everyone,
The last few weeks have gone pass in a blur and I'm sure the next few will too!! I have no idea when I'm going to have time to make my Christmas cards, Boohoo.
I thought I would share these two cards with you.
The first card I stamped on sanded brown gloss card with a Penny Black Inc stamp, I like the effect of stamping on sanded gloss card, you get lovely soft paper to stamp on with a rustic edge, that's my opinion anyway he he.
The second lot of cards are using Kaisercraft papers and rhinestone, the stamps are Stamp-It. The rhinestone butterfly was layered on plain vellum and then cut out, the flower rhinestone was layered on patterned paper and cut out. I taught these cards at a Girls Night In, it was a great event and a worthy cause! One lovely lady who attend named Tamara shaved her hair off which was way passed her waist, so courageous and brave.
Anyway that's all for now, take care and thanks for looking.
Cheers Jane

Cards to share
Hi again,
Here are two cards that I made at the Copacabana camp. I actually made 11 cards but some have gone to be published and others were birthday cards that I have already given away.
The Princess card is a large die-cut of a castle that I picked up from The Art Shed and the Princess stamp image is from a Woodware stamp set. I Cuttlebug the bottom portion of the castle to make it look like brick work, the roof tiles I created with a stylist tool and then coloured with chalks.
The Slider card I used Hero Art stamps and a template, there were no instructions to go with it, so with help from my friend Deanne I manage to work it out.
Cheers and thanks for looking.

Girls Weekend away
Hi everyone,
Well here is a lovely photo of my friends and me.
I went away with a few weeks ago to Copacabana NSW. We stayed in a holiday house and had our own mini stamp camp, here we are in our Pyjama and Teddy Bear party outfits. It was also Deanne's big 40th! We had a ball and created heaps!
Bottom row: Barbara, Annmaree
Centre from the left-hand side: Deanne, Me, Kim
Back row from the left-hand side: Marg, Karen and Kerry.
Cheers and thanks for looking.

Distress inks Faux Linen Card
Hi everyone,
Gee I think I've forgotten how to do all this, it's been so long! Glad to be back on track, slowly anyway. Here's a card I made awhile ago with the Faux Linen Technique, then stamped over the top with Distress inks and darkroom door tree stamp set, I love this set!! I have a thing about trees at the moment.
Hope you like it, I will be taking some photos of my cards that I made last weekend. I went away with a few friends and stayed in a house at Copacabana, lovely spot. We created till our hearts content. I even saw some whales just off the beach, I was sooo excited. No one was with me to share my enjoyment boohoo, but I was having quite time, forgot what that was!!
I'll share my creations real soon.
Cheers and thanks for looking.

AHHHHHHH!!!
Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I haven't had Internet access for a WHOLE MONTH!!! yes you read that right and I survived, well sort of. I'm not going to go in to any details why, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. I now need to change everything, emails you name it. All the companies were blaming each other!!
So please give me a bit of time to catch up and I'll be back up running as normal as possible. I just don't know where to start.
Thanks

Robot Card
Hi everyone,
I had so much fun making this card. I've had the idea for a few weeks and glad it's out of my head. I used darkroom door robot vol2 stamp set and stamped it on sanded silver kromekote card using StazOn jet black ink, slightly coloured the robot with waterpencil and waterbrush. My son really loved this card. Who said you can't put beads on a boys card!!
I hope you like it.
Cheers

My New Hobby!! he he
Hi everyone,
As if I have time for another hobby!!! but I can see how making your own jewellery can be fun. I went with my sister-in-law and my daughter to the Bead & Gem show, they both make their own jewellery, my sister-in-law sells pieces and has just just been published in a beading magazine, so exciting for her and us.
These are my purchases, on the left are pieces for a necklace that I'm going to make, only one! I was soooo good. All the other goodies are for papercraft creations, so you might see them soon. The chandeliers drops are going to be Christmas decorations, Jenny Crossley did some for Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft last year and I just loved them.
I'm off to downloads some cards I've made, stay tuned.
Cheers

Just for me!
Hi everyone,
Well I decided I would make something for myself and here it is!! I started it last night but managed to finish it today. I love trees and birds. The tree stamp is from the darkroom door tree set. All the other embellishments are broken pieces of jewellery that my Dad picks up for me, aren't I lucky. I have a box full of these goodies now and have been desperately wanting to make a piece to wear.
The background paper is made from Distress inks and water with a mixture of perfect pearls in it, you probably can't see the glimmer. I added a mixture of gold leaf around the edges of the Ranger Memory Glass frame. I'm going to wear it to the bead show tomorrow, hopefully I'll find a better chain for it.
Thanks for looking, more cards to come, I've been creating again Woohoo!!
Cheers

Nicely Rested!!
Hi everyone,
I've been away for the long weekend with the family at Copacabana on the Central Coast, it was hard for hubby to drag me away, I sooo wanted a weekend of creative play!! But the rest did the world of good. I started reading a book called Too Close To Home by Linwood Barclay, it's fantastic. I started reading Friday and I've saved the last chapter for tonight!! he he.
I did take the laptop away with me and finished Stampabit's newsletter and I got all the workshops organised! WOW.
Hubby has cooked a baked dinner, we've had take away all weekend!! naughty aren't we, we're so lazy when we go away. It did rain a bit but that just means you sleep in longer and read a bit more.
Back to work tomorrow. I shall post a card very soon made with darkroom door stamps, yes I bought a few sets, check them out at http://www.darkroomdoor.com/ I love them all but especially the robots and trees.
Catch up soon.
Cheers

Nellie Sugar Card
I bought some Nellie Sugar stamps from http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/ awhile ago and have just had a chance to play with one of them. The stamp is called Sweet n' sassy, she's so cute don't you think? their range of stamps are just gorgeous. I used Archival sepia ink to stamp the image and coloured it with watercolour pencils. It's layered on Bazzill watermelon card that I embossed through the Cuttlebug machine using the leafy branch embossing plate, I swipe Brilliance moonlight white ink pad over the top, my friend Jenny McKinder helped with the suggestion of cutting up some of Kaisercraft Fozz felt for the flowers, thanks Jenny wink wink.
The weekends are never long enough, I still want to play Boohoo.

Bridesmaid thank you card
No I'm not getting married, I'm very happy where I am and whom I'm with! LOL. I wanted to play with this stamp so I came up with a Bridesmaid thank you card. I wish I had stamped and created cards when I got married but that was 17 years ago tomorrow!! Don't you think it's a nice idea to make your bridesmaids or matron of honour a thank you card? especially with this adorable stamp from Stamping Bella, check out their website at http://www.stampingbella.com/ you'll want them all just like me, I've included a photo of a male card that didn't make it to the magazine for the Father's Day feature.
Hope you enjoy them. More tomorrow, I have a very cute card to share!!

ATC Card
Hi everyone,
Well I needed quite a few cards in a hurry for a variety of reasons, and I have an awful lot of unused ATC's, so guess what? I turned them into cards! I don't know whether or not that's the appropriate thing to do with leftover ATC's but hey I needed some cards and quick!! I must say I do like how way they turned out if I don't say so myself, and the bonus....all the hard work was already done. They are still made out of love and given with caring thoughts.
This supply of cards should get me out of this pickle for a little while, till I run out of ATC's lol.
Thanks for looking

Things with wings card swap
Hi everyone,
Here is the card I made for my 'Stampabit' Things with wings card swap.
I was inspired by Michelle Zindorf, she is a very clever lady and you should check out her blog http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ it's just amazing. I didn't brayer my background, I used a sponge instead. The stamps I used are Chatterbox clear stamps - Botanico (available in store)
I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Hopefully I get some more creating time soon and I can share some more.

Owl serviette card
Hi everyone,
Well as promised here's a card I made using one of the owl serviettes. I'm into owls at the moment, oh and trees. I went to the Stitches and Craft show at Rosehill Sydney yesterday, I was a very naughty girl and spent lots! I think I bought everything that had birds, owls or trees on it.... Oh well till my next obsession.
I'm having a HUGE clean out at the moment, getting rid of a lot of stuff, cardmaking stuff that is. I'll be putting up a post soon in regards to a Market Day that's happening at the shop next Saturday the 30th August, so stay tuned!
I hope you like the card.

Been away Playing
Hi everyone,
Sorry it's been awhile, as some of you know I went to a Scrapbooking retreat last weekend, well it's taken me all week to get over it.
I don't scrapbook, but I did make 12 cards and covered a writing pad, WOW that's great for me. This is one of the cards I made for one of the organisers and the other is an ATC's I made for the swap at the retreat. I had such a fantastic time, I didn't know many of the ladies when I got there but I certainly know a lot now! I haven't laugh so much in ages, they certainly know how to have a good time.
I'll be back soon, I have some yummy products to show you.

Alcohol Ink & Cuttlebug card
Hi, I thought I would share this card with you too. I was playing around with my Ranger alcohol inks the other day and came up with this, hope you like it.
The background is foil tape on chipboard, then embossed through the Cuttlebug machine with the d'vine swirl embossing plate, then StazOn saddle brown and blazing red were swiped over the top. I then used silver foil board and the die-cut and embossing plate from the textile hearts set and applied Ranger alcohol inks: raisin, butterscotch and espresso over the top. The birthday is made using silver foil board and the happy birthday embossing plate, no inks applied. These inks are so much fun to play with.

Transparency Serviette Card
I made ten of these transparency serviette cards for RAK (random acts of kindness) and to catch up on some birthdays. Try and find a serviette that has a simple design to cut around and won't be too flimsy. I hope the steps are clear and that you enjoy it.
These steps can also be found in Stamping & Papercraft issue 13/3 by Jacqui Jones, they are gorgeous examples that inspired me to make this card.
Trim around your serviette close to the design, remove the bottom two layers so you only have the top layer with the image on it.
Coat a thick layer of Mod Podge on to a same sized piece of acetate or plastic, layer the serviette on top carefully so you don't get any creases.
Apply another thick coat of Mod Podge over the top in a stippling motion, be careful not to tear the serviette. Put aside to dry, this should take about two hours. Don't try and use your heat gun as this may buckle your acetate/plastic.
When dry the serviette will now look transparent, trim around the image and scalpel out some of the inner sections if needed. Attach to your card using a glue stick, let some of the serviette overhang the edges of your cards to show off the transparency of it.
I hope you enjoyed these steps, if you do make a card using these step, please send me a picture I would love to see what you come up with. Any question or concerns please leave me a comment.
Cheers, Jane

Missing You Card
I made this card for someone who has brighten my days for the last two years, unfortunately I won't be seeing her so often now, so I wanted to make a special card to let her know how much I enjoyed her company and how inspiring she is, I'm not sure if she would check my blog regularly, but in any case when she sees the scalloped edge she'll know it's for her. Thank you for making my days cheerful! I'll certainly miss you, but I'm sure we'll catch up on our craft days and the promised shopping and vegging out days (you know what I mean!)
I'll be making another one of these for another friend who I'll certainly miss as well, such a character! It's going to be sooooo quite!
Thanks for looking.

Hi everyone, yeah it's the weekend and I'm off creating again!
I made my niece her birthday card, it's on the 1st of August, I can't believe I'm ahead again, I usually make the birthday cards the night before or even on the day!
She's a little ballerina, so hopefully she'll love this.
The stamp is Stamp-It 2044E Pretty Ballerinas and the papers are the new Autumn Leaves , Heather Bailey 'freshcut' range, the collection of papers and other products are so beautiful and bright.
Thanks for looking.

Eliza's Birthday Card
More!
This is a card I made for my daugther Eliza, she is turning 14 soon and loves all the cute images from Penny Black, her favourite colour is pink and she loves all things girly. She'll be able to use it to hang on her door.
I used the new "T for Transparent" stamps from Penny Black Zoophabet, K&Company Amy Butler designer papers (love love love these) and Kaiser Fozz Felt with diamantes.
All these can be order through my store.
Hope you like it and thanks again for looking.

Glimmer Mist Card
I told you I was going to share!
Here's a card I made using two of the Glimmer Mists - Midnight Blue and Vanilla Breeze, the embossed chipboard is Tattered Angels Glimmer Chips Nature, the picture is from www.alteredpages.com, silhouette and papers are from the K&Company Silhouettes Kit.
I used a Craf-T metallic rub-on over the top and the edges to give an antique feel to it.
Enjoy and thanks for looking, more to come.

Hi everyone,
Well what better way to keep you all up to date with what's happening at 'Stampabit' than having a blog. I'm new to all of this, so bear with me please.
I will be attaching the Stampabit's newsletter, workshop schedules and photos of the projects that we have lined up for you this term. Of course I will also be tempting you with yummy pictures of new stock when it arrives.
Plus I would like to share pictures of my creations, including my tips and techniques to keep that creativity going and hopefully inspire someone!
So I hope you'll enjoy the blog.
Happy Stamping
